We both have Day Jobs…which we're at least as passionate about as we are about beekeeping.

In his day job Chris is a building scientist. He helps manufacturers, code bodies, builders, architects, and many others, understand and work together to improve the energy efficiency and durability of all buildings.

He likes to say that he took up beekeeping to get away from building science. But, it turns out that honeybees are building scientists of the highest and most ancient order. So, he says, the joke is on him.

Teaching is one of Chris' natural gifts. Working with budding beekeepers - especially the young ones - is an especially rewarding joy for him.

Editing is one of N'ann's skill sets, so we work together on beekeeping and other educational projects, although N'ann is executive director of a national consumer advocacy and assistance organization, and is involved in other non-profits.

And, no, we don't have kids of our own, unless you count several million honeybees.
